Google Assistant + Apple Music

I'm reading that google assistant may now be used on android with Apple Music. However, when I try on my Note 8 I get "voice actions aren't available for that app" from google assistant. Apple Music is also not listed as a choice for a music player in the assistant settings.

Is anyone else able to use google assistant to call up and play Apple Music? If so, how did you do this?
