dd-wrt reconfigured router keeping dropping nexus 7 (2012)) tablet, using wifi

I updated d-link dir 615 wi-fi router with dd-wrt firmware to use as a bridge/repeater, but it works for about 2 min and then drops tablet and android moto G phone. It seems to be working for pc though. It my authentication wpa-personal or some other confuration that i missed. I followed the instructions for configuring the router.
