I would like to know? Can I update my phone.

I have an 2013 Huawei H868C (Glory) I am looking to update this phone. I am having an issue with not being able to sinc or update my google browser. My os is still 4.0.4
I would like to know if there is an update for this phone,or am I able to root it and get an update for this phone. If not, will my only recourse is to buy yet another phone.
