Is this normal Nexus 5x battery behavior

I've just recently gotten a 5x and found the battery life to be quite poor. I come from a cheap lenovo phone so I was surprised to see that the Nexus' battery is much worse. Sometimes I lose 1% a minute just browsing through simple apps like tumblr. On chrome I lose a percent every 4 minutes or less with battery saver turned ON.
I really don't want to return this device but if the battery keeps doing this, I just might.
