lg4 comes on, but won't boot all the way up

I saw that my phone had automatically started an update for facebook, which isn't uncommon. But then it went off. I turned it back on, but now it comes on with the tracfone android screen, but that's it. It won't come back all the way. Tried plugging it in, taking battery out, etc. It just stays on that screen and then it dims and comes back brighter like it's trying....
