Updating my Redmi Note 3

Hi. This is my first android phone. I bought a Redmi note 3 about a month ago and I installed miui8 V6.8.18 dev beta version. Now that the global stable ROM has released I have no idea how to install the ROM in my mobile. I wanna switch back from dev version to the global stable version. I downloaded the global stable ROM file but when I try to install it, the updater app says "Can't verify update package". I downloaded the file from the mi website oly but still i get this message. And I have no idea what to do and how to do so please help me with this. Thank you!
