concerning the Honor 8, is it now possible to for the main camera to shoot in B&W?

I'm looking for a good smartphone at a moderate price, and the Honor 8 seems to fit the bill. But I just saw a video which stated the phone's rear camera does not support shooting pictures in black and white. Is this true? No monochromatic ability?
