How do I change the defaulted video player for an app?

I use the lapse it, time lapse app on my phone.. I recently got the samsung S7 edge and now when I open the time lapse app to watch others' time lapse videos as well as my own, it says it is unable to play the videos because it has defaulted to the Android video player. How do I change which video player is used? I don't want all my apps to default to a different one, just the time lapse app. Thank you!
