PPTP Vpn On Google Pixel

I have a synology server running at home, I have a VPN setup and have been using it for years on my HTC One M8. I recently updated to a google pixel and now I can not connect to the VPN on my pixel. My wife's phone the LG G5 works perfectly fine, but not my pixel.

I can connect with my pixel if I am connected to my home wifi, but not on LTE. The wifes phone works on either. Obviously connecting to the vpn on my home wifi does me no good.

Any ideas
