"Unfortunately Calendar Storage has stopped working"

With the newest update for my phone, which I installed this morning, came this error message that continuously pops up. I've looked online for a solution, but all the questions and responses I've seen are for temporary fixes. Every time I apply a temporary fix, it works until I need to open the app again to adjust my schedule, at which point I need to deal with the pop-up message until I can force stop the app and clear the calendar storage cache. Is there a more permanent solution? This happens whether I'm using S Planner or the Google Calendar app.
