Annoying mini-Opera tabs.

I have an Android phone and use mini-Opera as browser and Startpage for searching.

If I open a web page I can follow a link by tapping. However with Startpage if I tap a result I just get a blank page. I have to hold the link pressed and in the resulting menu select one of the options such as 'Open in new tab'. All I want is for the link page to open when pressed. I am sure this is how it used to work till some days ago.

Must be some setting I have upset.

So I did a quick experiment. I opened the built in Android browser and searched for Startpage. Run Startpage, put in a query and tapped on one of the results. The link opened as expected.

Went back to mini-Opera deleted Startpage and searched for it again. Run Startpage, put in a query and tapped on one of the results - nothing - blank page again.

So it seems the problem is with mini-Opera but I am none the wiser.

The only tabs reference I can see under Settings is 'Open in background'/'Open in foreground' which I have toggled to no effect.

Any ideas?

Regards,
Ernest
