LG V20 wont control volume or channels on LG projector

I have a small LG 'pocket projector' my V20 used to be able to control the channels and volume on it, until a few weeks ago. When i opened my built in Universal Remote app, my projector was no longer paired with my phone, so i paired it again only to not have those options any longer. Has any else had this issue?
