Gboard won't insert GIFs

I have a Galaxy S7 and use Message Plus for my text messages. I want to be able to insert GIFs, I downloaded the Gboard and it will not allow me to insert it. Says something to the effect of, this field does not support GIF insertion from the keyboard.
