Changing my password to swipe on my phone.....

I have been trying to get my phone to swipe to unlock but everything i did, encrypting the phone, and credential storage. Nothing worked and also before i did all this one morning my lock screen had a swipe to unlock but i still had to enter my password after and i dont know how to fix that... anyone know what im talking about?!?!
