How to set ALWAYS "USB for file transfer"?

Hi guys Im wanting to set my Pixel 2 To Always be on USB file transfer when I plug it in.. Rather than having to select what to do when USP is plugged in.
Is this possible?

Reason id like too is, I always have issues connecting this phone to my Mac.
