My Samsung galaxy s7 apparently locked itself; how can I unlock it?

I bought an ATT unlocked s7 phone, but after a short time, I think some software update locked it, because it doesn't recognize the SIM card of my carrier. Samsung told me it's locked. What can I do to unlock it?
