My phones auto rotate wont work after a recent update

I have auto rotate enabled on my phone (samsung galaxy j3 eclipse) yet the screen never rotates no matter what i'm doing. I cant even watch YouTube with my phone horizontal. This is happening after a recent system update that i had to do. Anyone else having a similar problem or know what i can do?
