Unfortunately Google play services has stopped. On my Hudl 2

Hi I have read and tried remedies for this problem is download Google Play services version 8.7.03 (2645110-280). I can access this on Google chrome but my Hudl will not download it. Maybe because Google Play services is not working. Any ideas please .
