I am trying to read usb flash drives with my tab a 9.7.

I am using a charge cable with a female to female adapter to plug usb drives into. It does not reconize anything plugged into that configuration. It will recogonize the 1 drive I have that has both micro, and normal usb, and it sees reads and edits that. But won't see it on my cable rig.
Any assistance would be great. Thanks in advance.
