Can the Nova launcher skin cause my phone to constantly restart itself.

I have a galaxy s8+ and I bought the Nova launcher. Last night the phone had been restarting on its own and at times I could not get the phone to turn on but somehow it was still sinking to my smart watch. Is the skin to blame or is there a problem with the new phone and it is coisidens
