Why did the calendar on my Samsung S5 disappear?

I was double checking dates on my phone looking back & forth from a flow sheet to the phone. Looked back & the calendar was gone! I turned the phone on & off. Downloaded updates, tried recovery software & nothing has worked.
Does anyone have any suggestions???
