Search widget no longer shows cards

I have a Galaxy Note 5. Before, when I touched the Google search bar/widget that I have on the homescreen, it automatically showed info cards relevant to me. Yesterday it suddenly changed: now when I touch it, instead of cards it shows a normal desktop-like Google search with anticipated things that I'll type, etc., and at the bottom it says "Check out your feed" but I have to touch a new house icon to get it. Don't like this!! How may I change it back?
