Why my bookmarks on galaxy s7 won't open

I use google & not chrome by choice. Homepage is startpage.com. Either it takes between 1 & 10 times until a bookmark opens Or it doesn't open at always returning to startpage. Is there a sync action or another possibility why this hapoens?
