Phone was completely unstable after being outside in the pool and sun.

I was in the pool today for about an hour. The phone was on the wet surface but no direct water contact. First the bluetooth kept disconnecting from the speaker. It stopped after I moved the phone a couple of inches away from the speaker. Then I took it and sat down at the patio and the screen started switching to camera, and then random apps. Became totally unresponsive like it had a mind of its own or was freaking out. Rebooted still was having the same issue. After a while it stopped. Could this be from too much light exposure/sun or being in and around the water?
