Google Calendar App in my Chromebook, wont sync to Google Calendar app on my Samsung Galaxy S7.

when I enter an event on my Google Calendar App in my Chromebook, it does not show up in my Google Calendar app on my Samsung Galaxy S7, I have tried everything I could find on line to fix it, nothing works, and most of the advise isn't even applicable.
