What's the best way to upgrade to 6.0 on a locked LG G4?

Since I was given the phone and use a T-Mobile sim, I will not be getting the upgrade via T-Mobile. I am willing to unlock it myself, if from there it is a clear path to getting the upgrade downloaded and installed.
