No zoom in or out taking pictures

I've lost the ability to zoom in and out when wanting to take a picture. Also no settings along the camera veiw point this seems to have dissapeared since the last update and I'm still on lollipop can anyone shed any light. I've switched phone off took battery out as sim and sd card ....nothing please help
