Like if I get a text in the early morning I want my phone to go crazy until I wake up and see it, is there something like that? An app?

S9+ goes in and out of roaming but S8 next to it on desk is not. Urban Area - Recent issue for me

You cannot imagine how happy I am to see this topic. I'm fighting it as well. I will be sitting on a couch with an S8 and an S9+. A few weeks back, early this month actually, I took a short vacation and flew to North CA. I had the S9+ on Airplane mode, turned the 8 off. I had my rental hooked up to Android Auto. The first day, I had no problems.The next day I went to the same location (so I know that there was service there.) On my returnto the hotel, The gMaps would not connect and I tried but I got lost.

Enough backstory, don't know if any of this matters, b ut you never know. I finally got sick of my lock screen showing Local & Home times. Obviously the same. I went to my local Sprint Repair/store and the first person I saw put in a new SIM. Ok, give it a shot. Nopes. Next day went to store again,talked to an actual Technician - not a sales person. He changed some settings that the sales guy gave the day before.

I thought that maybe the problem was with the location setting, so I put it on the Highest accuracy level. Thought I had it..alas, no, still not working.

So, I hope this get figured out. Thanks.

Stolen Samsung Tablet doesn't appear on "my device's" anymore

I set it up to lock, with a msg. A new PIN, and was able to see it under "my device's". I saw when the last time it was logged in, then obviously locked. It was under my device's for a while. I got real busy for a month, looked today and it is no longer showing. I also tried the Samsung way of tracking it and it shows it has never been connected to lock it and erase it.

Camera failed & camera light being used by other app

My camera stopped working with a 'camera fail' notification. I also am unable to turn on or off the flashlight due to notification stating that the camera light is being used by another app. Due to trying to fix this issue, I have also reset settings and Instagram uses the drive instead of the stock gallery which will also not allow me to upload more than one photo. Please help! I've been trying so many different things !

Why is my bluetooth not switching on

On my tab s3 when I select bluetooth the slider goes to the right but not blue and just stay there. When I go out of the screen and back it shows switched off again.

Disable popup request to install hardware app

How do I disable "supported application not installed" messages on my phone when I plug into my car radio by usb? My car radio has annoying audio player associated with it. If I install it every time when I plug it into my car it auto runs or has annoying pop ups (which cannot be disabled). If uninstalled though I get the above message. How do I simply leave it uninstalled without the constant pop ups?

Galaxy S9 Plus photos of people arent clear or sharp

Hi. I have owned a Galaxy S9 Plus since release day and have not been too thrilled with the picture quality more so here of late. My biggest issue is when I take photos of my two year old son, the images don't seem sharp or very clear. Kind of fuzzy if that makes sense. I am no photo expert so sorry on the words of choice if they don't make sense.

I take alot of photos of my son and I notice the quality always seems poor. I feel like my S7 Active took better images of people. So my question is, am I using the camera wrong? Is there a recommended setting for taking photos of people? Or is this a known issue?

Throughout the summer I used the live focus mode which seemed to make the picture quality look better, but that mode seemed to work best when it was bright out. I searched all over Google, YouTube and the forums before I posted looking for ideas on what could be the cause or any tips on taking pictures of my son or any people. Any information or ideas is highly appreciated.

After upgrading to Pie, phone got slower.

My Nokia 6.1 plus was automatically upgraded to Pie couple weeks ago.
Now playing videos (stored or streaming from Facebook or Viber) got stuck very often and sometimes rewind (go back) unintentionally.
Also while typing Gboard suddenly disappeared.
Mobile data link is not persistent and it is disconnecting very frequently.
Also settings for default app is disabled and i cannot changed it except for browser, sms and phone apps.

Why do the black and white pixel 3s have different vibration types?

I just bought two pixel 3s one for myself and one for my mom. I ended up getting a black one and my mother grabbed got the white one.

Since my mom like most mom's are pretty technologically incompetent I set up both of the phones.

While setting it up I noticed that the phones had different vibration types. When typing on the keyboard (gboard) on the black pixel it made a "buzzing" vibration on each keystroke while the white one made a "clicking" vibration when typing on the gboard. The black pixel can make the "clicking" vibration but only when hitting the home or back button.

I checked through all the setting but could only find how to lower or increase the vibration strength.

Does anyone know how to change it to the "clicking" vibration when typing? The clicking is much cleaner and enjoyable when typing.

If you swipe down, tap on notifications not read, tap on 3 dots in upper right, tap on settings, tap on notifications organizer, I found some of mine were selected (turned off). Unselect(uncheck) the ones you want to be notified. Good luck

HTC Sync Manager doesn't recognize HTC Desire 12+

Hello,

as mentioned in description I am having an issue regarding the HTC Sync Manager. Wanted to transfer my IOS Backup to the new HTC device.

The manager doesn't see the HTC Desire 12+ while it is connected via USB to the PC.
I just found out, that the manager doesn't support this mobile. My PC though finds it and shows it in the device manager.

So the question is: Does any1 have a work arround or another solution of how to transfer my data from IOS (was an IPhone 5) to a desire 12+?

Google Notifications keep returning, even after they have been dismissed.

I have this problem where google sends me a notification about a final score for a sports team I am interested in, I see the score - think oh that's interesting - and swipe the notification away to dismiss it. I lock my phone and go do something else for a minute and 2-5 minutes later (sometimes more) - I get the same notification again - same score - same game. I dismiss it again. This happens 5-10 times for every sports team I get notifications for, and gets really annoying when my team lost by 20 points and google is rubbing it in my face for the entire day by repeatedly sending these notifications over and over, even though I keep dismissing them.

Now, let me start by saying I want to receive these notifications, they are of interest to me, but only once. I want to be able to see the score, then dismiss that bit of information from my life. I've searched all over online, in my general phone settings, in the notifications settings, in the app itself. I haven't been able to find anything and I'm not quite sure what to do.

I have a Samsung S8, and am running Android 8.0.0. Any suggestions or am I just out of luck and need to turn the notifications off?

I have what may be a really stupid question but I'm not tech savvy so thought I'd ask.

I bought the LG Q Stylus Plus phone and luv it. 4G ram, 64G memory. What I didn't know if that it's an International phone and doesn't have enough bands to get 4G/LTE service with T-Mobile in the US. So here's the stupid question. Is there a way to add more bands to the phone so it can get 4G/LTE service with T-Mobile?
I also have a LG Stylo 4 phone from T-Mobile (2G ram, 32G memory), which I've been told these two phones are basically the same phone.
Is it possible to interchange something on these phones that will make it possible to get the bands that's on the Stylo 4 onto the Q Stylus plus?
Does anyone know how/if I can do something to get 4G/LTE service on the Q Stylus plus on the T-Mobile network in the US.
If this is so ridiculous that's it's laughable, that's ok, I knew it was a long shot, but at least some will get a good laugh out of it. LOL

Deleting images from phone but not from cloud

On Galaxy S9+, when I try to delete pictures from my gallery a window pops up saying the pic will be deleted from all clouds (Google, Samsung ect), but I want it to be deleted only from my phone storage and not from the clouds.
There's no option to refuse so if I wanna delete something it's gone from everywhere.

Can you adjust the number of steps on the vibration intensity slider?

I made a big leap from a Galaxy 5s to the 9s. While there are many improvements, I'm finding the lowest setting for vibration feedback while typing and the vibration alerts to be too much.
I want both of those functions, but there is little room for fine tuning with only 5 possible steps. I used a Samsung app, Sound Assistant, to add steps to the volume slider, does anyone know of a process to do this with the vibration slider?

Lockscreen problems

So i have an S9. Had it for a few months now. And just recently started getting this problem. I tried the settings or maybe im missing something. But when i get a notification my phone lights up with the pattern already up. So i have to hit the back button to see what the notification was. Also this happens when i just hit the power button. It brings me striaght to the pattern instead of my lockscreen with my clock and notifications. Its actually really annoying. Also i have a fingerprint and pattern if that helps on any way. Thanks

[apps to sd card]

Hi All, I was wondering if I'm doing something wrong or if it's just to be expected. I have an S7 edge that I'm attempting to move apps to the SD card and they are just painfully slow, if they transfer at all. I'm using a Samsung Evo 128gb class 10 micro sd card. I've also tried a SanDisk 128gb Ultra class 10 card and it was really really slow. Is there some trick to speed this up? Am I using too beefy of a card? Any help is greatly appreciated!!

Connection issues on multiple games/apps Samsung S8

So, recently my phone (Samsung Galaxy s8) will not connect to any new games or apps that I download and it loads at a snails pace for anything that requires internet connection. It will download files for a new game and it will download apps/games just fine, web browsers like chrome work fine as well. I have tried multiple wifi connections as well as mobile data but it doesnt fix. This is also multiple games that I've tried recently so I know the games ive tried aren't the problem. Can't open my downloads

I have recently not been able to open my download app on my aclatel raven phone, I can open the portion of it dedicated to photos and videos but as soon as I go to download or recent I get kicked off with an error message appearing on my phone. Files Disappearing

I have a ZTE Blade Vantage and recently I've been having some trouble getting my phone to recognize some music files, so I've been trying a multitude of fixes such as clearing the Media Storage app's storage and rescanning my SD Card. The card itself is formatted as internal. One folder in particular is giving me a headache right now. I had it labeled as .nomedia prior to several Media Storage wipes and rescans, and now it's simply disappeared. What the hell?

Is there an ability to cast a video from browser on the pixel phone to TV via chromecast without losing the ability of using phone during the casting?

I am streaming a video from web browser on my pixel phone. I would like to stream this video onto my TV that had a Chromecast connected. During the entirety of the video I cannot use my phone otherwise it would cast exact what's on my screen. How can I multitask--stream and use phone?

My phone always has to load up my apps.

Okay, so I got a new phone a few weeks ago and whenever I try to open an app, it always shows a loading symbol before use. Fore example, when I open youtube, discord or instagram, it shows the app with no content and a loading symbol for at least 30 seconds before any content pops up. Name on text message does not match contact

I use the Outlook app to synch my work Outlook contacts to my LG G6. Recently I did a clean up. I deleted all my phone resident contacts and added them to Outlook so all my phone contacts have one source, my work Outlook. It worked great except when I text my best friend whose contact has her first and last name the name that appears on the text says "Maru" her name is Mary. I tried deleting and re-adding a new work Outlook contact, uninstalled/re-installed the Outlook app on my phone, and resynched the contacts to my phone. When I text her it still does not display her first and last name as in the newly re-added contact. This is the only contact behaving this way. What else can I do to correct this anomaly?

Android Auto Waze Navigation Volume Fluctuates

When using Waze navigation and Spotify at the same time the volume of music fluctuates significantly up and down. When using Google Maps this does not happen. Only when using Waze.

I have searched other places and many other people have or are experiencing the same thing and I have tried all of the various App changes suggested. Nothing has worked so far.

Sim card unavailable on Zenfone

So, my husband and I updated our phones this morning and since then our SIM cards are "unavailable" we both have ASUS Zenfone Max 3, we are with Chatr phone provider. We have been searching the net to fix this problem and the major battery drain since the update. We have disabled and activate the SIM cards on the phones as well to no avail.
As it stands because of this update our phones are little more than glorified cameras.
If anyone can help we would appreciate it, as our phones are the only means of communication.

Why are random thumbnails saving on my phone?

Everytime I plug my phone into my laptop to transfer pictures I have to unselect all and pick the ones I want.

Random thumbnails of the games I play or the ads I see are saved somewhere on my phone as they come up to be transferred to my laptop.

Android Messages SMS app text search doesnt work

Missing WiFi calling option

I just got an S8 edge (Android 7.0) and cannot locate the wifi calling option. There is an icon for it at the top of the screen (where bluetooth and signal strength icons are), but pressing it to turn on wifi calling does nothing. I have looked in the phone app settings - as some forums have suggested, and also looked under Settings > Connections > More Connection Settings and there are no Wifi calling options listed. Why won't texts from only one specific contact not read aloud.

I have one contact that the texts aren't being read aloud, whether it's through Android Auto, a third party SMS to Voice App, or the LG Tone and Talk app. All my other messages are read aloud, just not hers. I've deleted all contact information, recreated it, muted the notifications, allowed all, changed the alert, which the alert sound does come through, but no apps are reading her messages. They will read Facebook's, Hangouts, and multiple other apps just fine, and even texts from all my other contacts, just not hers. I'm at a complete loss. I did a complete factory reset multiple times and tried installing Tone and Talk first thing, no other apps, and still nothing.

screen turning black with low battery

seems that my battery life is terrible. however, when it gets below 20% the screen goes black. i can hit the power button twice and it comes back on. the lock screen wants to use the iris scanner and then will go black again. i can actually type in my password without seeing the numbers and then when i hit power twice it will open and it wont' trigger the iris scanner so I can do stuff for another few minutes. then screen black again. this seems to be a new issue. is the battery bad ? is this a new failsafe thing?

Song Plays After App Install

Phone = LG (H910) V20 w/Nougat 7.0, Rooted

Strangest Problem Ever!!!

Right after I install an app (Google Play or Sideloaded), "Let's Go Crazy" by Prince starts playing. If I swipe down to see Notifications, it stops playing.

There is no related notification, no other apps are running and the apps I have on my phone are the same apps I always put on every phone.

It just started out of nowhere, yesterday.

I do have this song on my phone (not linked to any Notifications, nor Ringtones, nor Alarms), so I moved the file to see if something was seeing it and playing it and then installed an app, but it still played the same song.

See what I mean? Strangest problem ever! :-)

Does anyone have any ideas??? The sound on my phone works normally otherwise.

Random pop-up ads in chrome when i unlock phone.

So I recently started to get pop-ups on chrome and lock screen. When i unlock phone i get pop-up on chrome (most of the time) and i randomly get pop-ups when i use phone longer (Screen on, after ~10 mins).

Phone: Moto e4 plus (XT1771)
Android: 7.1.1 (Security patch, August 5, 2018)

AdSense Pop Up Ads on my Gaaxy Note 9

My Note 9 suddenly started giving me full screen pop up ads from ad sense every few seconds at random. I have tried every fix I can find online including going into adsense and deleting all ad permissions, etc.. Nothing is working. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am considering a reset to factory settings but would rather not if I can avoid it.

Camera freezes after 38 seconds of recording.

I tried it with 3 Camera Apps, each one behaving differently after the 38s mark. Doing a factory reset and switching between sd card and the internal storage didn't fix the issues.

Any idea what may be causing this?

The phone is AGM A8 with Android 7.1.1

. This can only be acheived by having one tab open as a new tab and using the 2nd tab to connect to any site. If I attempt to navigate away from the opened tab it will close. All functions when selected only remain on the sctreen for a very short space of time i.e." settings" does not remain on screen long enough to change anything. How do I stop My S-9 from multiple notifications for every e-mail?

First, this is not about a notification repeat where the notification repeats on a regular interval until the new message is read or acknowledged. Can a SMS be sent from Note 9 to both Galaxy Watch and Ford SYNC system?

I have a Note 9 phone, Galaxy Watch and 2014 Ford running SYNC.

Prior to getting the watch, SMS's would be sent to the SYNC infotainment system in my truck and displayed or read without any issue. I then purchased a Galaxy Watch and after connecting it to the Note 9, SMS's now only appear on the watch even when I'm in my vehicle and the phone is connected to both the watch and infotainment system. If I have my phone, but no watch in the vehicle (phone/watch are disconnected but phone/SYNC are connected), the SMS is sent to the SYNC system without issue.

Is there a setting I'm missing on my phone or Galaxy Watch app so that a SMS can be sent to both my watch and SYNC system if both are connected? If specific versions of these systems or apps are needed I can provide.

Z2 Force, upgrade to Android 8.0.0 (Oreo) 14GB in memory just for the OS, is too way much.

Please need help, i just bought my brand new Z2 Force, when get the upgrade to Android 8.0.0 (Oreo) i watch the storage device, notice i say is brand new, i even install any other apps, only whats app, an now i have 14GB in memory just for the OS, it's any other way to get a light weight version of android, because 14GB is too way much.

Why is Nokia 7.1 alerting every 30 seconds since Android P update

Since updating to Android 9 (Pie) a few days ago, my Nokia 7.1 makes alert noises every 30 seconds - 1 minute until I view the notification. I think it has something to do with the ambient screen notification setting. I used to have it set at "periodically" which is supposed to be every 2 minutes and would previously just illuminate the screen - not make noise. But now, I get a notification noise about every 30 seconds until I acknowledge the notification. I set the ambient screen notification setting to be "once" and that seems to have resolved the issue of getting the notification sounds, which is why I believe that setting is no longer working properly. I can live with that workaround for now, but it really would be ideal to have my screen light up every 2 minutes without noise in the many cases that I don't see it the first time.

I have seen a similar issue reported with a solution of "Tap your Settings, scroll down and tap accessibility, scroll down and tap notification reminder." but I do not have that setting.

Can't reply messages on landscape mode.

Well on my huawei nova 3i and also on my previous huawei 2 lite replying on landscape is a huge laid since I physically can't it has the option to do it but it's impossible to execute. Android EMM: Enable the System apps for the owner user

I need to enable some of the system apps of Android for the managed google play account. I am wirting the neccasary things like package names of those apps in the Device policy. Then I am provisioning my device with the policy but it does not show the system apps I required.

In the Settings it is showing me the System apps but with that it display message "Not installed for the user owner".

So, is there any way of enabling the system apps for the managed play accounts?

LG G4 Shuts down during initial setup

This pone is brand new out of the box it powers up and will get through the first 2 steps of the initial setup then shuts itself down. It will not turn back on again unless the battery is removed. I have tried to get it to boot into safe mode without any luck.

Any ideas?

Why I cant send full quality pictures directly on whatsapp?

I have just got Samsung note 9 and its the very first time I get an android in my life :)) when I'm sending a picture to my colleagues on whatsapp, it decreases the quality beyond poor and I really hate it. Never had this issue with my iPhone tho. Hope there is a way that I can still enjoy whatsapp. Before you say it, using a attachment function is not the way. Can anyone help me with my phone I'm locked out of?

Help please!!! I just bought my Huawei Nova 3e on the weekend and am locked out of it! I can't remember the pattern password and when I try to do a hard reset I get an error message saying the software isn't installed. My screen timeout is set for 10 minutes, but when making a phone call, the screen goes dark in 30 seconds !!! I have a Samsung s9+, which I just got !!! On my Samsung s4, I was able to enable my proximity sensor, and the phone screen would stay on as long as I wanted it to, which is good when dealing with customer service type calls, or if on hold !!! Essential ph-1 will not boot

I just replaced the screen. I put the new screen on and tested to be sure it would work, then powered back off and glued the screen down. Now the phone will not boot, it just keeps trying to turn on but won't. When I try to go to recovery mode I never get the next screen to wipe it, it just keeps trying to boot. Even when I power it off it only turns off for a second then keeps trying to turn back on but it won't boot.

Should I buy Samsung Galaxy watch?

Hi all,
I have been attracted towards smartwatches since the time they came. However, there are many reasons that I didn't buy any till today, money, technology and android user.
Although, now I am in the position of buying and I am aiming to buy a Samsung Galaxy watch. I have watched many reviews of that watch on youtube from big streamers to small. Also read many threads on the forum about it and it seems that there were issues with the initial firmware but after updates they were solved.

I am looking to buy the BT 46mm version.
Since this is my first SW and it costs a kidney (also I am a student), I had some concerns with it.
1. Does the battery stays for at least 3days (AOD off, BT and WiFi on)?
2. Can I install third party apps on it (getting apks from google wear store and installing on the phone)?
3. Connection with non-Samsung phones (I have OnePlus 5).

Pop up ads keep interupting my usage of my tab s2. They happen randomly during use. Ad blockers and malware programs are no help. Safe mode is also no help. Can someone help. Has anyone experienced a random lock screen?

There is no lock screen turned on, but when I open my son's contacts or try to use Facebook messenger kids app, a pattern lock screen pops up.

Google search call won't work

I have a new galaxy s9 and commonly search for businesses on google and click the "call" link. Nothing is happening when I click on call (multiple searches). I'm assuming I have some kind of setting preventing my phone from linking with the google search?

How to stop the google play full page ads on Galaxy Note 9.

These full page ads from Google Play pop up regardless of what you're doing, and they're horribly annoying. As if we don't have enough ads, now they live on the damned phone. Samsung shouldn't have ever permitted this. Is there a way to stop this that isn't very technical?

E: failed to load cache/invalid argument HP 10 w/ 4.4.2 android

My HP 10 tablet loses the setup info each time it's turned off.
I have tried restore, cache wipe still same problem. The tablet operates normally other than i have to put in all my info each time I start it .

Where do saved photos from TEXT go?

I have a Motorolla smart phone. When people send a photo attached to a text, I click on it, and get several options. I select "Save attachment", the phone says "Attachment saved". When I look in the obvious places, Gallery, Downloads, etc. I can not find it. Anyone know where it goes?

Does 'Set up nearby device' feature transfer bloatware?

I'm considering using this feature (Set up nearby device) to transfer my data from an Android phone that includes ATT&T bloatware to a new factory unlocked phone absent of any bloatware. I certainly don't want and bloatware to infect my new phone.

Why is my phone's Bluetooth automatically turning off call audio?

My phone media and call audio have worked perfectly with my Bluetooth Sync in my Ford Escape for months. This week, call audio stopped working.

I discovered the toggle switch automatically switched off after about ten seconds. If I try to toggle it back on, it pauses any media audio, but never connects to a call.

The car Sync system says "No Phone Found" when I try to connect with call audio, but it will play media.

I have unpaired and re-paired with my car Bluetooth system, restarted my device, and manually turned on/off the Bluetooth. Nothing fixes the problem.

Can an unauthorized modification to the os on a galaxy s6 be done without a pc

I just bought a second hand phone and I received a message that the Os has been modified in an unauthorized way. I was provided the link for Samsung kies but haven't any access to a pc. Is there any other way to reinstall the Os using only the device needing repair and the internet?

Can't receive texts from Verizon phone after porting number from Google Voice

This is a weird one. I was using Google Voice for my main number for years. I finally decided to port my Google Voice number to my cell phone on T-Mobile. Every since porting I can no longer receive texts from people with Verizon phones. I can send text to those people and they receive them but I can not receive messages from them. I've tested with several people on other carriers and send/receive works. I believe all of the phones that work are on GSM networks (like my T Mobile) so not sure if it's Verizon specific or CDMA vs GSM.

I reset my phone, tried several Text apps, tried deleting contacts and re adding them and have had T Mobile reflash my sim several times. I'm at a loss and so is T-Mobile support so seeing if anyone has ideas.

No sound from TV with AC3 audio.

Hello, I wonder if anyone can help as this is driving me mad. I purchased a shield a few days ago and I've set it all up but have the following issue;

If I play an MKV movie with AC3 audio from a USB stick when the shield is directly linked to the TV via HDMI I get no sound whatsoever from it, have tried tons of files all with the same result.

The surround setting in shield is set to "Auto" if i set it to "never" it plays the files but everything is played in PCM. Keeping the setting on Auto, the TV outputs sound from every other type of audio codec (AAc, DTS, TrueHD, DTS-HDMA, DTS-X, ATMOS), just not AC3.
If I connect the shield to my receiver first, the receiver can play the AC3 file and it displays it as Dolby Digital, which i think is correct.

I know some people will say; well whats the problem just play it through the receiver first. Yes, but, not always do I want the receiver on with sound blasting out of 9 speakers and a subwoofer, sometimes we just want quiet films playing in the background just coming out of the TV, also my wife just likes to pop the TV and play a film, not have to turn on the receiver and faff around with it.

A bit more info, my TV is around 6 years old its a samsung UE40ES6800. The TV will play AC3 files direct from a memory stick or from NAS drives, it just wont play them coming from the shield.

Is this normal behaviour, I'm concerned there may be a fault with my shield?
