Galaxy note 4 Flashing Issue

HI Android Central,

I am using Galaxy Note 4 (SM-N910G)

1st STAGE
Suddenly in my phone's recovery menu says "drk verification failed",
If i install firmware vis Kies or ODIN it says"write flash memory failed"

2nd STAGE
I flash new Firmware and PIT file(get from some web) via ODIN3_v1.85.
But phone was not worked properly.
When i open recovery boot menu it says"Installing System updates"(5 min)
then after select "wiping menu" or "reboot" it takes 10 min.

3rd STAGE
I flash via Smart switch Emergency Recovery mode but it says above errors.(But it working properly compered to above condition but have same errors)

4th stage
I flash official ROM(AP) and Boot Loader(BL) vis ODIN3_v3.11.
Started properly but same screen says"Installing system updates" and all that.
Sometimes says "NO COMMAND" for a bit sec and goes to recovery menu.

Note: Phone is not rooted

What should i do to solve this issue?

I think that may issue again rise from PIT file?(It seems partition line in recovery menu)
is there any way to remove partition made by PIT file?

What should happen if i check "re-partition"(Not given PIT file) or "Nand Erase All" while flashing with ODIN?

I have BL,AP,CP,CSC for that phone.

Galaxy Note 4 - Unwarranted constant lag and battery drain

Seemingly overnight my Galaxy Note 4 went from "speedy enough" to "lags so much that I can't type a text". It upgraded to Android 6.0 over a month ago, and things were relativity smooth. Then, two weeks ago it all of a sudden became incredibly slow. Typing a text message consists of me tapping the keys and waiting a few seconds for the words to catch up. It is so laggy that when I hit the sleep (shut of screen) button, the screen lags as it goes black. To top it off, I can no longer use FB messenger because the phone freezes everything its opened. I ended up uninstalling it.

Furthermore, the battery dies about 2x faster than it did which occurred at the same time as this lag. Looking at the battery info, in settings, Android OS and Android System are now top on the list (near 20% each) for battery usage. This is contrast to what I usually see which is things like screen and other apps.

I did not download any new apps or change anything in my phone when these problems suddenly started.

How to cache all photos in google photos on phone

I know everybody else likes clearing all their caches on their phones to save space, but I have plenty of space but I dont like having to wait for a photo to load everytime I open it since most of my photos arent actually on my phone, they are in google photos.

How can I copy all my photos from google photos to my phone and where should i put them so they are saved offline?

Notification tones....issues

HI!
I have a galaxy S6 with Chomp Sms installed. I have shut off all notification tones for the native texting app and use Chomp exclusively. In the Chomp SMS app I have set the specific tone I want. The tone was downloaded from the Zedge app. Now when I get a text, I get the tone that I set, however I get repeated tones...approximately every minute until I acknowledge the text, (even though I have this feature disabled). Also if I have a specific text tone set for an individual, I will get it followed by the General tone about one minute later...all my settings reflect what I want the apps to do...but it's not working....any suggestions?

Why does the alarm clock icon appear on status bar after a phone call?

I have a galaxy s5 and it updated today to version 6. I noticed that now after a phone call the alarm icon appears on the status bar for a bit then disappears. My son has same phone and updated to vs6 also but his phone doesn't have this problem. What do I need to do for the alarm icon not to show up after a phone call?

Why is my tab pro flickering. And it keeps teeing me it's over heating

The minute I turn my tab on it flickers then starts telling me it's over heating and it shuts me down. Then it restarts itself. Need to fix it. Already talk to Samsung they said to reboot it. I did it worked for a couple of days then it came back. Please tell me what to do. I'm so tired of not being able to use my tab pro with all the money I put into buying it. It was only 10 months old when I first complained. It's been going on for months.

How do I restore S6 Active texts, contacts and app data?

My S6 Active (14 months old - 2 past warranty) just flaked out.
I'm not going to go into details about that, but after a few visits to the ATT store, they suggested I should do a master reset to see if it helped. It didn't. But now I don't have my contacts, texts, or app data and I'd like to get some or all of it back.

Before resetting:
1. I made sure backups was enabled to my google account.
2. I plugged my phone into a computer and copied the entirety of it's contents to a folder on my hard drive (about 9GB of data), with no errors.
3. I used an app (App Backup and Restore) that advertised backup and restore functions with all data being saved to my google drive.

After the reset, I associated the phone with my google account. All my apps were restored, but no data for the apps. Also no contacts or texts were restored.
I tried using the app that backed up my data to my google drive. It just created new, empty folders on my google drive with the same names as the original folders. I still have the data from the first backup, but the support for the company says it doesn't work that way and that I can't restore anything.

So.... my question is: Can I restore any of my app data, contacts, photos, or texts with the information I originally copied to my hard drive? If so, can someone help with telling me which folders to restore? (or should I try just restoring all 9GB of data?)

Notification changing shape, Note 4.

Hello. I am using a Galaxy Note 4, and for some reason, the shape of the notifications has changed. Instead of it displaying who sent me a message (on apps such as Hangouts and Steam) and showing me their message, it instead shows me a box with a picture in the center. Will not show who sent me a message and what they had said. I do not know why it happened, as I was watching a YouTube video and it suddenly happened.

My Trend Plus keeps dropping calls

For some reason my Samsung Trend Plus is dropping calls constantly but it only started today, at first it said the call forwarding was active so I thought it was the problem but the phone is still call dropping so as any sane being I went to the mobile networks and changed it to GSM only but nothing new still call dropping harder than a beat on a dance song, I tried changing the network operators but it isn't working either, any options I might need to consider or try? thanks in advance.

What are the handsfree capabilities on the S7 Edge?

I am looking to upgrade my phone to a Galaxy S7 Edge. Coming from an iPhone a big thing for me is handsfree capabilities. As I work outside being able to use my phone via the headset is extremely helpful. What are the capabilities on the S7 Edge. From using one in store I realise you can now access Google Now via the home button which is a bonus as it has some form of familiarity. Does it go beyond that as my last experience with a Galaxy phone was an S3 which did not end well.

kyocera event is slow, freezzes up and wont respond when i try and open an app.

Why is my phone running slow and not downloading apps?

Flash official firmware (S7 Edge) using Odin

So, I bought an unbranded Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge from Romania. But because I live in Greece, I decided to flash the greek firmware, undranded as well of course. The zip contains 5 files. I did my research, however the Home_CSC and CSC files still confuse me. I assume I should use the CSC and not the Home_CSC one? By the way, my phone is new and unused, so I don't mind about data wiping. Hope someone can enlighten me. Thank you.

S3 phone Slow CHARGING

Problem with unlocking bootloader on Nexus 5X running Android 7.0 official

So I've been spending a lot of time trying to unlock bootloader on my Nexus 5X. I believe the problem that is keeping me from doing this is that whenever I go into the fastboot mode in my phone, the File Transfer (MTP) no longer works and my phone is diconnected from my PC. You know how with Android 6 and 7, every time you want to transfer files to your computer it requires you to go to notifications to allow you to transfer files? If you don't it will only charge your phone. Well I'm guessing that every time I go into fastboot it automatically goes back to just charging the phone and not transferring files. I've looked up ways to make it stay on transfer files by default but you have to root your phone to do that, which is what my problem is keeping me from doing... If anyone could find a way around this, or maybe that's not even the problem. But if anyone can help me so I can root my phone eventually, that would be greatly appreciated.

Why is my mobile phone and charger is heating so much while charging my phone ?

I have purchased Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 (32 gb , gold) variant last week.
But when I am charging my phone , both the mobile phone and the charger

ViewPager arabic swipe left to right

We want to use the ViewPager to show different pages to the user.
If I select Arabic then the ViewPager still swipes right to left.

Is there any way (no workaround please, no code behind) to get automatically swipe left to right if Arabic is selected?

The reason why we do not want to code ourselves is that if in the future a new version that swipes automatically correct depending on the language comes, then we have to change our code.

Is there any library that offers already a kind of ViewPager that behaves correctly depending on the selected language?

SMS Notifications not working

Since I upgraded to the latest android version this week (6.0.1) I haven't been getting any alerts for my SMS messages.

No sounds, no screen notifications.

I checked the settings and disabled/re-enabled notifications but i don't think it's working.

I was using truemessenger so I switched back to the default android messaging app and disabled/re-endabled notifications.
Then I also switched back to truemessenger and enabled/re-enabled .

What could be wrong? What can I check

No sound when playing videos on Netflix and YouTube

I was watching a YouTube Red movie on my Droid Turbo phone and hit the volume button to make sure it was as loud as it would go and a small message and volume screen popped up. I didn't have my readers on, but could see what appeared to be the same volume bar as always appears with room turn it up. I turned it up to full volume and poof....no more sound. I've tried checking the phones audio in settings, everything is turned up all the way. I've tried turning phone completely off, waiting a minute and turning it back on, hoping to "reset". Nothing is working. Anyone have any knowledge on this? Thank you!

Droid turbo 2 reboots when trying to cast to BDP-S2500

Hit cast and it recognizes the Blu ray player. Select player and says connecting for 2 minutes then phone freezes and reboots.

Lenovo S60-a (andriod) Boot Problem

hi every body

i have lenovo s60-a Mobile i just upgrade it to Android 5.0 from Android 4.4.4 by the way of update.zip from internal sd and so when i turn on it it show only lenovo logo for 2 3 second and then turn off with long vibration i have try many time to load the boot menu with all combination of power and volume button
but it turn off in the same way not loading recovery menu so what i can doo.

I was texting a Five digit number when a notification box came up asking if I wanted to "allow" or "never allow" the text to go through because i would be charged with normal texting rates or it was going to use up a lot of data. I accidentally pressed "never allow" and blocked the number. How do I undo it?

HTC One M7 won't boot past boot splash screen, recovery mode unresponsive

I was just browsing snapchat, when suddenly, my phone froze and turned off. If I try to reboot, I get to the white HTC screen, then after a small time, it turns off again.

If I hold power and volume down to get to the recovery screen, I can move through the options, but if I try to pick one (even factory reset) it just freezes the phone!

Please Help!

Galaxy S5 Operating system questions

So I bought my Galaxy S5 over a year ago with Verizon. It came with Lollipop 5.0 when I got it. I am wondering did the guy who helped set up my phone update it from kitkat to lollipop or was it already with lollipop. Anyways I didn't really mind it when I got it until I upgraded to Marshmallow back in June. I am wondering what would be the risks of flashing my S5 to Kitkat 4.4.2? Last question I have, what is the best android operating system for a phone? The one it came with originally or the latest one available that it can upgrade too? The customer service technician told me 6.0.1 would be the best one for the S5 now which I have a hard time believing since kitkat 4.4.2 was optimized for the S5 when it came out.

Att Galaxy S5 wont update...Need Help

I have galaxy s5 from ATT. Trying to do OTA update and says my software is up to date. But I have android 5.0, it's never even updated to 5.1.1.
How can I get my phone to do an update?
I've cleared caches freed up plenty if space but no luck.
Att couldn't even push the update for 6.0 to me. Said my only option was Best Buy....any clues? Att also said on their end, my info was Grayed out, as in they couldnt even attempt to push 6.0.

Marshallow power saving mode

I just updated my S5 from 5.1 to 6.0 and now when I try turning on ultra power saving mode, it shows that it will only last 1.2 days. On 5.1 I was getting 12.5 days. Is this normal or is there a problem. Note: both time estimates are from when the battery was charged to 100%.

Kid wants a game that's only on Android - small wifi only tablet?

Hi,

My son wants a specific game that is only available on Android. He's 8, so game quality, screen size, etc. aren't a big issue. Is there a device that is not too expensive, would work just on wifi (we'd probably be downloading the game from Amazon), and wouldn't require a contract? I've been looking at the Proscan PLT7100G 7", but I don't want to order it if it would require a major commitment.

My Kodi box has stopped loading

Hi, I always do all the updates myself through following videos on YouTube. Today, I had to delete Kodi, and reinstall it. I installed it through the play store, and now Kodi wont load! Magazinok...what is it?

I found this installed on my phone after a big software update last week. I cannot uninstall it so I have disabled it. It appears to be some sort of Hungarian Womens' magazine. Google doesn't seem to know much about it and it's not in the app store. I'm in England with a newish s6edge and have Norton Mobile Security which has not flagged it as a nasty. Anyone got any info please? I dont like having an unknown installation.

Battery wont charge

I have a Galaxy note 4, it went plat on me on Sunday, I've tried about 4 different chargers including a car fast charger, I have it plugged into my laptop last night and after a lot of wriggling and trying thins the battery flash bar came on, but it took many many hour before it charged to 70%.
It discharged overnight, to 50%!
When it first went off it said Android downloading do no turn of target.
Also when its plugged into the car or the mains socket and the
phone is switched off, its pulsating? any help please as I realy don't want to take it into a shop unless absolutely need to.
P.S Managed to do a factory restore last night no different

What is data usage on samsung note pro?

There's data usage in settings and I'm just wondering what it is, I'm using wifi but it's said I've used 9 GB of data. I even shut my wifi off and it says I'm offline.

Since i made a factory reset, my phone keeps booting at least once a day.

The reason for the reset I made was that i was unable to install "Messenger". Now this and everything else is working fine. HTC says that it has to go for repair, but any suggestions? I don't think it is a hardware problem.

The App Drawer button has moved to the centre of the page & covers a favourite app and it opens. All other apps open OK. How to reset alternate password on my Sansung Galaxy tab s2?

I can access my device using fingerprint or a simple swipe on the screen. However, whenever i try to change my security settings, a demand for a password pops up and unfortunately i can't remember my alternate password. i tried to reset the device using "lock my device" on google device manager, but the security settings didn't change at all. Possible to disable/remove DND mode in Marshmallow?

DND mode keeps activating itself at random and it is super annoying. Start about a month ago. I have no use for it as I manually configure from the slide down bar and just tap sound off/vibrate/sound on from there.

It is so broken that when I attempt to turn DND off it simply ignores me and turns itself back on again.

I have Googled all of the solutions and none of the work.

I have two icons at the bottom of my home screen that insist on combining into one icon.

At the bottom of my Home Screen I have a row of five icons: Phone, Messages, Chrome, Camera and Apps. Occasionally, the Chrome and Camera icons combine into one icon group. I got this OS warning that says to press the volume down button to restart and it isn't working

This happened after I got some moisture in my phone. I got it cleaned up and it's all dry. The screen popped up this OS warning that says "A custom OS can cause critical problems in your phone and installed applications....."

It says to download use the volume up to continue
To cancel and restart the phone, volume down.

Neither works. I can turn off the phone, but when I do the same warning comes on.

Don't have my text msgs after reset

Why does my note 4 charge so slow

My newest phone broke, so I switched to my old phone. This old phone however, takes forever to charge. The fast charging will not kick in, and in the settings it says "Charging (USB)" under battery. My computer won't recognize it, and I know for a fact the problem isn't the chord or the adapter because I have tried several others of both. I also replaced the charging port and it didn't make a difference. I don't even get a notification that there is an adaptive fast charger connected no matter the battery level, and of course I have tried selecting and deselecting the fast charging option in the settings. I'm running out of ideas and really would like a phone that charged in a reasonable amount of time.

I just can't get my music onto my phone – via any method!

I need to transfer music to my Nexus 5X. I bought a USB cable just for this but Android File Transfer says it "can't connect to device storage", for reasons unknown. (Yes, I made the screen was unlocked before connecting the cable.)

So I try the online solutions. But download links for Music Manager and Google Play Music both take me to the same screen, for Play Music, and request that I add a payment method to verify my address. Which seems unnecessary, since I already have a credit card linked to Google Wallet (and I don't even want a music subscription)... but ok. I add a card. I click save. I get returned to the "add payment method" screen, with absolutely no clue as to what the problem is or how to proceed.

I've tried this repeatedly with different payment cards, all registered to my address here in Switzerland, same as my Google account. No progress. No clue as to what the problem might be. Any ideas?

Need help picking older device

Hello everyone,

Due to the MMS issue on the BlsckBerry PRIV on AT&T they are offering to let me exchange he it for another similar valued device. It looms like my options will be anything in the similar hardware category, 810/808 with 3/4GB of RAM.

I was wondering if people who have used phones from last year for a while now could provide some help making my decision.

Right now I have been taking a good look at the s6, Note 5, and V10. I don't really care for the glass design and reports of poor battery life on the Samsung devices. I even had an s6 edge and returned it for the PRIV last year, but I do love my Tab S2 8.0 and have been thinking maybe the regular s6 wouldn't be a bad route.

The v10 looks good to me, but I have heard some mixed things about it...

New SD card Galaxy 5

Got G5 2 years ago for a vacation. Several days into vacation device informs me my SD card is full. Guys at T-Mobile kiosk say they can sell me a bigger card, but aren't 'allowed' to save the pictures I've already taken. Not to worry, I can still take pics and the will save on the device itself. I keep doing this and never do anything else.
Now I want a new,bigger SD card. Some of the oldest pictures have disappeared from the gallery. I am about to take another trip with many picture plans.
Last, I am REALLY stupid/ignorant. How do I save what is on current SD card, including contacts? Do I move it somewhere else (and how?) and then reinstall it when the new SD card is in? Will the guys at T-mobile install the new SD card, or will they just laugh at me?
I'm sorry, I'm mortified, but I just don't know this stuff.

My information is being taken, google apple comcast & sprint aren not helping

Yesterday morning I woke up with several emails from apple. First confirming my new apple id, then for various apps and things. I called apple they couldnt help bc i couldnt answer security questions..duh, i didnt make. I called google, was told to contact my service provider. Reason: I had already changed my password 2x and they still had access. Today i woke up to a bunch of pictures I didnt even know I had access to. They were just sitting in my downloads file like theyd always been there. In the downloads I found something that looks like giberish to me, but i picked out a couple reg urls and found i now had new/reopened microsoft account. Also i tried researching but dont understand policy.xml w3 ... Then I realized this morning that i was following myself in google+... also there is a whole slue of "new" system apps that I have never seen before. Help! Whoever has access to extremely personal information...including that of my childrens.

I am very annoyed with the power saving notification after update of A8.

I am very annoyed with the power notification which is totally irrelevant ,probably after update of A8.the grey task bar at the top of the screen restricts the full home screen display and also has an irritating battery icon on the top left corner.

How to stop Chrome from going back to a website I don't want to visit

I looked up some information about Windows 10 update on my phone. The website popped up a window that said that I won something. Of course I did. I didn't want to click on anything. When I tried to hit home, it put up a modal window that asked if I wanted to leave the site. It was just a loop that I couldn't break. I closed the browser, but every time I would open Chrome it would take me right back there. No matter how many times I opened and closed Chrome. Finally I uninstalled Chrome. It didn't really uninstall. The icon was still there but it said update, so I updated. And I seemed to out of the loop. But is there some other way to stop Chrome from going back to a site that left because I didn't want to be there?

I did the update to marshmallow with my sd card inserted. when the update was finished it noticed I had an sd card and when I went to my gallery to view my pictures I could no longer see the pictures that were from the card and then slowly the number of pictures were decreasing. Note 7 top speaker for voice calls no longer works

My note 7 is a week old now.

As of today i can no longer hear people from the top speaker. The only way i can have a conversation is if i put the phone on loudspeak.

Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Why is my Redmi 2 google play services' get stopped?

I have xiaomi redmi 2 handset. It's Google play services'is not working. It want update even get updated. Why is my S7 overheating

Hi there. So I've noticed my brand new s7 has been getting very warm under normal useage and is also impacting the battery life. For instance I've been browsing this forum for 20 mins and my batt temp has risen from 29c to 35c and battery has dropped 4%. Now this seems to happen more form browsing the net or facebook than anything else (strangely youtube heats it up slower). It rarely goes above 40c but usually stays between 38-40c when I'm browsing and will slowly drop. I'm just concerned as comparing it to my old phone (z3) this is getting as warm from browsing the net as that dod shooting 4k and playing games. I've also tried all the tips I've read including hard reset and it hasn't really helped. I wouldst describe it as really hot definetly would describe it as too warm. Is it time to take it back or this just something s7s are plagued with?

Possibly broke my digitizer and all the hard buttons on my Express J3

Basically I got this J3 as a temporary phone until I can get my S5 repaired. However, I accidentally dropped the phone (with the case on) and now I have a crack under the screen. The music I was listening to began to loop at the one part, the screen went black, and none of the buttons would respond. I really don't want to have to waste more money to get another phone fixed, since the total cost for both would be around $500+. Any suggestions as to things I could do?

Caller name not displaying after marshmallow update. Only caller number.

Hi all

I have updated my galaxy s6 to marshmallow 6.0.1 which was pushed to me. And ever since my incoming calls from my contacts will only display their numbers without the international prefix and without displaying their names. I have tried disabling google accounts and then enabling it again without use. I have also deleted contact data and cache. I have searched the forums thoroughly and only found a link to the same problem happening to Motorola devices in the past.

Has anyone experienced this. A fix would be much appreciated.

Google now cards wont show. network error even though i have a stable connection

The google app just stopped working. My cards wont show because google now cant be reached at the moment it says. I tried turning off the cards, and i cant because of a network connection error. Note 4 help needed, can't recover. Restart loop!

I have a note 4, been working great until now.
I turned the phone on and now it does a continuous loop of switching itself on & off, only thing to resolve this was taking the battery out.
I then tried putting the phone into recovery via power/volume up/home keys, but then I get a messege saying "installing update" then the phone switches off again.

Help? Please?

Video buffering constant, but only my new S7 edge phone.

I just bought the new s7 edge 2 weeks ago. I kept my old phone and use it to research and watch videos.

The new phone is stuck in video caching. I've cleared the storage cache, closed the xfinity app and reset the phone. It still is hung on the video buffering (like for 5 minutes at a time).

I grabbed my old phone. It has no issue...so I dont believe ithat is a network issue.

I appreciate any guidance.

S7 Edge Screen flickering

I know that I need to send my phone in for repair at a Samsung repair service center. The only problem is my phone is an international version that is from Singapore. I can't get it repair here in the US and I tried calling the customer service in Singapore. The guy answered and told me that they can get it repair but I'll have to walk in to one of their repair center. That's great, if I live in Singapore but I do not.

The US Samsung service did not warned me about having to buy a plane ticket all the way to Singapore just to fix a flickering screen that can easily be fixed.

I don't know what else to do! Samsung customer service sucks...any suggestion?

Samsung Note 4 apps will turn silent after a notification alert sounds

I just started using a brand new Samsung Note 4 this year. I noticed that whenever a notification alert comes in (whatsapp, sms, email, plugging in usb charger, etc) while I am playing a game app (any game), the game app will turn silent immediately and the only way to enable the sound is to restart the game app.

The same problem happened before and after the update to Marshmallow.

Why is my volume button not working lg g4

I've got the LG G4 and I've had it almost a year now and I'm not super tech savy so maybe someone can help me. Earlier today the volume up button was perfectly fine but at some point it just stopped working and I can't get it to respond at all. Which is the best portable charger for a Galaxy s6?

I own a Galaxy S6 and I tried out several portable chargers from different brands. It seems that Samsung has an anti-piracy measure (?) that prevents your phone to charge properly with non-official chargers (the message ''Device charging slowly. Use an original charger'' appears whenever I plug it into some non-official charging device). That being said, I was wondering which portable charger should I buy in order to get my Samsung charging normally when plugged to it (if I try to use it while ''charging slowly'', the battery actually keeps draining instead of charging - only in a slightly slower rate than usual). unusual bluetooth issue, help please!

I have a Galaxy S5. For some reason when I use bluetooth to connect to a device it starts playing a ringtone. If I make another connection it starts playing over itself so I have had it playing four times at the same time at different intervals when I have had to disconnect and retry when sending files to or from my phone.

Turning bluetooth off and on again does nothing. The only way to stop myself going crazy is to mute my ringtone, which of course only works until I turn the sound up. The only way to stop it completely is to restart my phone. I don't know why it is doing this and I am not sure if it was always an issue or if an app I installed early on is messing with me.

SD card unmounts itself constantly

I have a moto g 3 which, following an upgrade to Marshmallow, is constantly unmounting the sd card. Taking the card out and reinserting it sometimes works, but then it's gone again in less than a minute. I've seen other users with a similar issue but does anyone know of a fix/if there is any word from either Android or Motorola about when they're going to sort the bug? The phone's internal memory is so small it's useless without an sd card but if you can't use an sd card in it... Paperweight, anyone?

Samsung Note 7 Can't be detect as a USB device in Windows 10?

How many characters are available for an email signature?

I was trying to put on my phone the email signature I'm required to have inside the work email.
Copying it didn't work. Typing part of it was OK, then somehow I copied the company logo, but when trying to copy also the disclaimer in there, neither copying nor typing worked. Actually I typed the disclaimer, but the phone wouldn't save it.
Any ideas how to place a large signature there, or if possible to save everything as picture and place the larger picture there?

After some research I made a static IP and made sure it would not match anything else in my house. I was finally able to connect but then it just said my internet was unstable, and just disconnected when I switch it back to DHCP (I did not turn my Wi-Fi off before I changed it).

why many android apps won't recognize Bluetooth tethering internet connection?

Hi,

My phone WiFi adapter is not working anymore so to keep using the device i had to go with Bluetooth tethering.. But unfortunately almost all my apps won't recognize this blue-tooth connection and keeps looking for internet connection via WiFi or cellular data.

is there any thing that makes me use them over blue-tooth tethering until i get it fixed?

I need help fixing my android tablet

Hello I have a android tablet called "wiki pad" and I got a virus on there and I can't get it off it keeps crashing my tablet and having errors saying Google stopped working etc I've tried booting it into safe mode removing dodgy apps etc and nothing is working I managed to do a factory reset and it seemed to make it worse , I cannot do anything on the tablet as soon as I turn it on its full off errors and will not let me do anything at all is there anyway to get it back to normal without having access to anything on the tablets OS ? Maybe through my PC ??

Why does my phone battery die so fast?

How can i root my Samsung J5

I want to root my Samsung J5 because i can't move any apps to my SD card after the Android 6.0.1 update and the internal memory gets full with only 6 apps (like Facebook and Instagram) and then it runs a lot slower.
I've never rooted a device before and i want the safest and easiest way to do it in a way that i can unroot it so i don't lose warranty

keep getting screen overlay detected when I try to download apps WFT

When I try to open an app or download a new wallpaper a window pops up that
says Screen overlay detected
To change this permission setting , you first have to turn
off the screen overlay from Settings> Apps
open settings
when I tap the open settings I am at the apps page but there is nothing
for me to turn off.

Seems that this is a BIG PROBLEM someone had a youtube
video to solve it on a samsung phone however I just
got my HTC 10 yesterday 8/26/2016

Why doesn't my Gear 2 watch connect to my Note 5

When connecting to the samsung gear app it installed the new update. I connect to the watch bluetooth and it works then it wants to install a software
but it says, "Installation Failed! Error Code: -7"
I already Factory reset the watch and uninstalled the app?

Snapchat and Google Authentication app

So, I had a Galaxy S6 and I downloaded the google authentication app. But, just today I bough an S7 and I lost my authentication codes on my Google Authentication app, meaning I can't log back onto Snapchat. Is there any way I can reset this feature similar to how I can reset a password or any way of getting back into it? I also don't think I have a recovery code

Phone heated up while charging, and now won't charge. What could be the problem?

My Elephone P6000 heated up extremly around the USB port, and when I pulled out the cable, the core of the cable with the pins got separated from the shell of the head (Blitzwolf reversible cable). I let it cool down, but it won't charge, altough I tried a bunch of different chargers. When I connect to a charger, I can fell a little heat around the USB, but the Ampere app doesn't detect any charging. If the charger has a led, the light even goes off when I connect the phone. The phone itself works perfectly, and I can charge the battery with an external charger. I only need to replace the charging board, or there could be other problems?

Why is my battery life so bad on my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge?

I used to have an iPhone for 2 years now and the only reason I switched two years ago was because the battery life on my Note 4 was horrible to me. I use my phone for games and texting and am a very big power user. However the iPhone always had more than 40 % at the end of the day but with my android that I have now I have to charge it at least twice and be careful with the brightness and everything. Am I doing something wrong? I bought my edge on eBay but it's still has manufacturer warranty and is around 4 months old. I just don't understand why the battery is so much worse on my android and why android system drains so much battery. It drains anywhere from 30-40 daily

The OTT TV box I just bought came rooted. Is this normal?

I've just bought, via web, an "MX9" OTT Smart TV box. It's supposed to be new; however the box has no seal that could prove it wasn't tampered with.
I just realized that it came rooted. Is this normal?
I have tried resetting the device to factory defaults; it stays rooted.

I droped my htc into the water, and when I turned it on again, it said 'factory mpde'

I dropped my phone into the water for 2-3 seconds, then pulled it out. It was working for an hour after, then I tried to use the camera but it didn't work. I pulled out the battery, dried it, and put it back in. The camera didn't work o I tried again. The next time I put the battery back in, the screen came up with a small block font that said 'factory mode' 'item test, clear item test, version, and shutdown' I tried to press some of them but nothing worked. What's wrong???
