How can I play videos through SD card on Andriod enabled HTC One M9?

I have taken videos on FUJIFILM point & shoot camera which are stored in SD card, but on HTC One M9 phone it won't show while on phone. How do I get them to show up on phone and play them? All the pictures are shown but videos only are shown when I plug through wired cable on to laptop otherwise they are not visible. How do I fix this?
