Why doesn't my Samsung J5 recognise the SD card anymore?

I have just updated my android system on my Samsung J5 and now my phone is not recognising the sd card. I.e I am unable transfer apps from the phone to the SD card, using the Application Manager because the SD card isn't showing up. Can anyone help? Thanks
