why wont my new galaxy s7 connect to facebook with my password.

i can connect facebook on laptop usual account and usual password. it wont recognise password on galaxy s7 , tells me to get new password , sends me a code but doesnt respond. after several efforts the message is that ive tried too many times - how long do i have to wait until its reset?
