im using the fingerprint unlock with a backup pin. i also usually can see the notifications from the lockscreen. yesterday my phone restarted by itself and now the fingerprint doesnt work even tho it says use fingerprint to unlock, and i cant see any of the notifications.

Why is my Nexus 7 (2013) taking so long to turn back on (and what can I do to fix it)?

I was watching YT via the app with some bluetooth headphones connected, and the device sporadically froze and shut off. After pressing power, the pre-load animation is playing, and is still playing. It has been a good 20 minutes at least. What should I do?

Moto g 2014 stuck at "warning bootloader unlocked" screen at boot

ok i unlocked the bootloader, installed twrp 2.7.1.1 custom recovery, and installed SuperSU but when i restarted the phone, the phone just turned on and was stuck on the "warning bootloader unlocked" screen for all moto phones.. I could power off and go back to teamwin, but i cannot boot up the phone whether i clear data or cache..

Why can I no longer move apps to my SD card?

Hi all,
I have a Moto E 2nd Generation running on the latest version of android. Since it came with just 8gb of storage, I bought a 64gb Sandisk micro SD card and until recently used it to store apps by going to settings>apps>[app]>move to SD card. Now, for some reason, the 'move to sd card' button is just gone - it is no longer there despite a functioning SD card - this is really frustrating, as apps taking up a lot of space is part of the reason I bought the SD card so I don't want it to go to waste. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Touch sensitivity not great on new Galaxy S6

Just got a new S6 a week and a half ago and the one thing I have noticed in the past week or so is that it just isn't responding to my touch all that well. The keyboard is so tiny even compared to my older and much smaller phone, but even when i am trying to press on some apps or play a game, sometimes it just doesn't respond and it'll take several times of hard tapping to get it to respond. It does have a screen protector on, a glass one, as well as a solid plastic case, but I had those put on two days after I got the phone and it seemed just fine for the first few days of my ownership. It's getting really frustrating to text anyone. Any ideas what I could do? The *#2663# code does not work for me as I am on US Cellular, but I was told if I could get into that menu, there is a setting I could change that would fix it. Any ideas?

Distorted/stuttering sound from brand new S6

I just got an S6 not even 2 weeks ago and one thing that I have noticed is that occasionally the sound is quite distorted when doing playback. Doesn't matter if it's playing a video message, youtube, sound clip, ringtone...the easiest way to describe it is that it sounds like it is on a bad internet connection and is having trouble buffering. It stutters. Sometimes it's clean as a whistle. Other times it is not. I don't have very many apps on there but I'm wondering if there is something that would be causing trouble. I just don't know how to find out unless I want to factory reset (which would not be the end of the world).

Problem with HTC Backup. Incorrect cloud account?

Hello,
So a few days ago, My HTC One M8 decided to randomly reboot itself. When it restarted it went through the whole optimizing each app (which was weird) and then loaded the home screen. But now most of my stuff has reset itself! I was logged out of every app I am normally automatically logged into. All my photos are still there and text messages. But I have lost every single person in my contact book and call log history! This is what I would like to get back.
I made a backup a couple months ago using HTC Backup. This is what happens when I try to restore the backup:
Apps>HTC Backup>Restore from backup>Checking for saved backup>
Then it finds the backup on Google Drive (G*******A@gmail.com) So I select the HTC (This Phone) backup and click next>
Then it saids setting up accounts>Choose an account>G*******A@gmail.com>
Then I get the following error message
"Incorrect cloud storage account"
"Please sign in with the cloud storage account for the selected backup"

Can someone please help? I have opened the Drive app and logged into my account and tried again but still nothing. I assume this problem is arising because of the Drive app or the HTC backup app resetting itself. But I really need my contacts back!

I am running Android 6.0. Not rooted.

Things I have tried to restore my contacts:
Wondershare Dr.Fone
Resyncing contacts on my Gmail, Hotmail etc. (but i never saved them to those)
HTC Phonebook>Contacts to display>All contacts

None of these have worked.

3G works fine on the phone
The Wifi is working on other devices.

Phone Storage Not Recognised correctly

I have a Blu Studio 5.0C HD running Android 4.4.2. The phone specs quote 4 gig of internal storage , however the phone itself ( and ES File Explorer ) report 2.34 GB. I don't have a LOT of apps installed , and those that can be moved to the SD card have been , but I'm running low on space ( Google aps won't update ). Is there something I can do ? im stuck in a boot loop, heeeellp

Someone please help, I have an LG g3 and I'm stuck in what I'm guessing is called a boot loop, but unlike other boot loops the LG logo screen doesn't flicker like how most boot loop cases are, my phonejust stays at the lg logo screen and doesnt do anything, it started after I tried to do a hard reset in hope to delete remaining su files from when i rooted my phone since I ccouldn't delete them with any sort of file manager, ive heard of using Roms and stuff like that but I can't find any for my phone model no. Why wont my galaxy s7 install apk

I click download on apk app. It says it's downloading. I go downloads in my file manager and it shows it there. When I click on it lights up briefly button does nothing. It won't go to download screen or open. It's like it's there in text only. I click on other downloads around it and they open fine. Why can't I turn off location services?

Hi there.

I have a Galaxy S5 for some time now and I usually keep the location services turned off. I only turn it on when I need driving directions from google maps.

Something stange has happened recently, I can't turn off the location settings off. For example: I go to settings, select connections, tap on location. In the new screen, in the top right corner is a slide bar to turn locations on or off. It is in the on position, and when I slide it to the left, to turn it off, it immediately slides back to the right and I can't urn locations back off.

I should also mention, that under locating method, "power saving" is grayed out.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

P.S.: The only recent change to my phone was that I installed the latest version of Skype, which I have now uninsalled. But it didn't solve my problem.

Battery life starts going down super fast at 15%

Hello, I have an Acer Iconia Tab 7 A1-713 with Android 4.4.2 KitKat. I've been having the tablet for about 7 months and this just started happening. When battery reaches 15% and notifies me about it, the battery starts rushing down so fast that it goes from 15% to 3 or 2% in the timespan of 30 seconds, which is brutal.
I haven't installed or downloaded anything recently, nor rooted it. How do I fix this?

How to get pictures off my broken phone?

So I recently ran over (by accident of course) my lg power tracfone that has an android operating system. I am not able to use the touchscreen or even able to see anything on the screen. However, when i hold the power button, plug it in to the computer, or try to call it the phone still vibrates. I have tried to hook it up to the computer but I have a password and I am unable to allow my phone to connect to the computer. Is there anyway to locate my pictures?

Samsung Galaxy S5 Android System Battery Drain

I have consistently found that my battery drains with a wild speed on this phone. I have tried all the tips I can find and yet I still have to charge it twice a day whilst at school if I don't want to go into the critical 5% zone. Even if I leave it on airplane mode for most of the day, the battery still drains way too far and fast. Sometimes my phone will freeze up, and I get a lot of errors about system/com functions stopping or not responding. Just writing this has taken me down to 4%. Any help is appreciated!!

Screen broke pattern lock in way of me getting photos onto laptop help

Hey guys,

I have an old Galaxy s3 which has a broken screen, I'm after getting some pictures off the phone which I know was defiantly on it as was using it more as a memory card just storing old pics etc. I have installed Google pics on my current phone to get all my old pics but seems these pics wasn't synced I also installed kies (Samsung software) into my laptop to transfer my pics that way but as I had a pattern screen lock on my phone it asks this to be unlocked before I can import them this way, as I mentioned above the screen is broke so I can't unlock the keypad either. Why There Are Lots Of Ads In Google Play Store Apps?

I'm wondering why there are lots of ads in Google Play Store aps? Almost every second app comes with annoying ugly ad. And the worst thing is, there are no filters on the site which could tell us, which apps come with ads & which not. I'm surprised, how such a big company like Google has made that site so simple without filtering & functions. I can't find also the option to delete history of apps installed. Google Play Store looks like amateur web programmers made site. It's a nest of ads.

Android device manager erase mobile

My phone got stolen then I went to the android device manager, tried to locate my mobile, but cannot locate, then I clicked on erase, then it prompted that the phone will be factory reset upon log-in. when I tried to locate it again, it said, Factory Reset April 30, 2016. But don't recall setting up my phone (Samsung Note 2) for the Android device manager. Does it mean that the factory reset was successful? Does the apps, locked notes, & contacts be erased with the factory reset?

How do I make the keyboard stay on the 'Symbol-selection' keyboard after pressing Space?

Hi!
I have a Samsung Galaxy S6 (running Android 6.0.1) and a OnePlus 2 (running Android 5.1.1 / OxygenOS 2.2.1 - both are there when I check the OS version :S).

When I'm using the keyboard on both of them, the keyboard jumps back to the 'regular' letters-keyboard from the 'symbols' keyboard when I press space. I'd very much like this disabled, as it annoys the bleep out of me.
It began on the SGS6 after updating to version 6.0.1, but have been doing so on the OP2 ever since I got it :(.

Any help would be *greatly* appreciated!
If there's no fix for the 'stock' keyboard apps, any keyboard app that I can install that does not do this, or allows me to choose for myself would be fantastic; especially if it's one that has a separate line for numbers like the Samsung one.
I don't mind if I have to pay for the app either.

LG G2 Wireless problem

Hello. I've been having problems with my phone after replacing broken screen. The phone works fine, I have signal and everything works fine, but I have a problem with wireless. I can use wireless,but the range is absolutly terrible. If I am located more than 5m from my router the wireless signal cuts and if I'm located right next to it, I'll have about 4 out of 5 bars. So I suspect the problem is with wireless antenna, but where it is located and what should I do to fix this problem?

My htc desire 626's can us its bottom speaker but its really low.

My phone the HTC desire 626 doesn't work when it comes to my bottom speaker. I have tried speaker boosters sound boosters multiple volume boosters and I cannot hear anything from the phone. The sound does work but you have to be very very close to the phone to hear it . I've turned it to full volume and I cannot hear the phone unless I have ear phones.I can't use speaker mode I can only use the earphones while using the phone on call or when it's up to my ear but I cannot watch YouTube or use Vine or watch videos on Instagram. It is very annoying not being able to do anything please help.

Can I fix my rooted S3 on my own?

About a week ago I rooted my Samsung Galaxy S3 neo. I regret that I did that because now every Google app (Drive, YouTube, Google play, etc.) isn't working. And I game didn't work as well so I reinstalled it and it works but lost everything in the app. So I wanted to get everything back by using Google Play but since that isn't working I can't do anything. LG G3 Updated to Marshmallow. SD card dismounted and no longer accesible

I updated to Marshmallow last night on LG G3. I saw a notification that the SD card had been unmounted around 1 AM, while I was sleeping. The card is now completely inaccessable. Is there any fix at all for this?

hello, i fkd up. i was trying trigger app plugin with lockscreen options, setup to lockscreen, put a password (that i remember) and started the action. problem is, the pwd i just entered was not the one my phone is asking me. and i have no idea what the password may be ( i used some time ago lockscreen password just to try it out and disabled it immediately)

i'm on samsung s3 neo 4.4.2 rooted, no custom recovery or anything else.

now. i'm trying every password that comes to my mind but i can't unlock it.
lockscreen is stock android, and i can't get past it.

i tryed google android device manager but it says it wont change password because a lockscreen is already there...
i also tried with my avg account but it didn't affect the lockscreen pass as expected.
i can't use samsung device finder because i don't have an updated account and i disabled samsung apps on my phone.

i'm reading that a stock factory reset with root may be bad. is it true?

so what can i do?

Tablet Data Question

Hello, I have a 4G Tablet with Verizon. I am on a shared plan of 1GB with another person. And as such, I don't have the information with me to answer detailed questions. However, this past month she was told my usage went over quite a bit. 500MB-700MB for me alone. We chose this plan and found it good since we mostly use wireless anyway. The only problem is that my tablet data on the day that I was to have my cycle end, it said I used 298MB. Well within my limit nevermine the actual 1GB. She never uses much either.
I figure that if she used 100, 200 even 300MB herself which is something she is likely to never do and hasn't done yet. That means my charges would have been the rest of the 1,024MB OR 724MB just to get to the limit itself. But then, we did go over a litte as well. But my tablet says I only used 298MB.
SO, can someone tell me in GENERAL the difference between my tablet and Verizon and what they say I have used???? I understand it can vary, but by how much???? Can someone please give me an Aproximate answer to this question???? If you can, I will be able to f igure out the rest myself. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide!!!!

Screen broken unable to get pictures

Hey guys,

I have an old Galaxy s3 which has a broken screen, I'm after getting some pictures off the phone which I know was defiantly on it as was using it more as a memory card just storing old pics etc. I have installed Google pics on my current phone to get all my old pics but seems these pics wasn't synced :( I also installed kies (Samsung software) into my laptop to transfer my pics that way but as I had a pattern screen lock on my phone it asks this to be unlocked before I can import them this way, as I mentioned above the screen is broke so I can't unlock the keypad either. Why are both red and blue lights on my idroidnation box?

I was clicking on the settings tab at the main menu with my idroidnation pro box and it froze up. I then tried to shut it off and it wasnt responding. Samsung S5 ringing but not correctly

When called, the proper ring tone sounds for a very short time and then stops (sounds "funny" as it stops). Then, after a brief pause, it will go back to ringing again. This cycle repeats for as long as the phone is ringing.

I have tried restarting the phone, changing the ring tone, etc. with no effect. It has not always done this.

Airplane mode started to drain a lot of battery since Marshmallow

So, while on Lollipop, I used to let my Galaxy S6 on Airplane mode overnight. After 8 hours, it spent between 1 and 3% of the battery life. After Marshmallow update, it starded to consume like 20 or 30% of battery life. Is there something I can do to prevent that? Thanks

Spam filter reached max 200? Cant add to spam folder

So here is the issue. i am on a note 5 and i use the default email app on main screen for two accounts. Aol, and gmail. And I cant add email to spam folder on any. The exact message is. Touch Screen Problem (lagging + other issues)

Hi

The other day my phone screen has started to act strangely. Firstly, when scrolling down it's started to lag a little, sometimes it scrolls down a bit and then goes up a bit (it's sometimes really hard to read an article etc. as you can't always scroll to the area you want to read). It also seems to be zooming in on it's own sometimes, without me pinching. Furthermore, when scrolling it sometimes selects things by itself instead of scrolling up/down.

I don't think it can be moisture that's caused this problem, as I never take it into the bathroom when/after having a shower, however it's possible a little bit of steam could go into the room my phone is in, when I exit the bathroom (I don't think this is causing it, though).

Oh, it also has started to take screenshots on it's own.

Please give me some advice as this problem is really annoying! If it needs a repair, what sort of price do Samsung charge?

When i copy something through usb its not showing, but it is there!

I copy a file to my phone's SD card through a usb media storage mode from my computer. So i disconect my phone and check with: astro file manager, es file manager and 5 more managers and the file/picture/anything i just copied is not there!

Why does my phone resend akk my old messages everytime it turns off or dies?

My htc desire 626 I got for Christmas worked really good when I first got it. It has been 5 months and I'm having problems. Right when I got the phone I powered it off and when I turned it back on it sent all my old messages to my contacts from the conversations we had, only to the first few people. For 5 months I haven't been able to let it turn off or power off for this reason, which is probably some of the reason it doesn't work. Also I cracked the screen a little but barley and it still works pretty good. But just I noticed it said I had headphones plugged in when I didn't, so I tried to play music but it didn't play, but when I plugged in my headphones it played. I'm really starting to hate my phone. I just need the texting part fixed more please!

My device was lost, found, and now looks empty?!

Alright here's my situation, my friend lost her phone the other day and it was found in front of a coffee shop she went to by another student at our school. The guy gave my friend her phone and all was well but when we charged it and turned it on it appeared the phone had been restored. She freaked out and thought it was the SIM card but I knew that wasn't true because she could still call and text plus I could see it in her phone, the SD slot was empty but I remember she never had an SD card because I suggested getting one once. Anyway, it's weird because she had a Verizon Samsung S4 or S5 (I don't remember) but the OS looks different as the icons don't look like they used to and all of her pictures, music, everything is gone. I checked her storage though and it says ~6GB of apps and no music, pictures or videos BUT there is ~5.5GB of miscellaneous files. My theory is that all of her stuff is still there somewhere but I can't find it in the file manager. Is her phone's memory gone with all of her pictures or are they there somewhere?

Why can't my phone play music?

I have been having issues with my Moto X Style. I upgraded it to Marshmallow and started experiencing audio problems. Once in a while, Google play music gives me an "audio playback error" while black player doesn't play anything. The ringtones and notification sounds do not work either. After further investigation I found that this problem only arose when I had Facebook's messenger app installed. I need messenger for keeping in touch with my friends but at the same time the error is quite annoying and makes me miss important calls. Any suggestions and help will be great.

Is there a way to turn off automatic defaulting of programs on Marshmallow Galaxy S7 Edge?

Previous versions of Android or maybe Motorola vs. Samsung had a choice of which app you want to use to open certain files. It said use Once or Always. Now whatever you choose one time is automatically set as your default. You literally have to go to default apps to delete this to have a choice again. Is there a way to turn off this auto designation of defaults?

Got a new Sony Xperia Z5 compact with Android 6. And now I can't delete files from SD card using any file manager I download as well as phones file manager. Used to be able to do this fine with old phone and old Android. Anyone got a simple way around this?

Huawei Ascend G7 - Won't turn on

I am fixing a friends G7 and basically it just wont turn on. Pressing and holding the power button provides no response from the phone what so ever. The screen stays black and there is no vibration or anything. The phone doesnt seem to charge properly also. When i plug it in a solid red light appears (i think it informs that the phone is charging) but after about 5 minutes of charging it goes off. I have taken the back of the phone and measured the battery voltage with a voltmeter. The battery at first read 2.50V. After trying to charge the phone multiple times yesterday it has raised up to about 2.8V but the phone still wouldnt turn on. So i plugged it back into the mains and left it charging for about an hour. I came back measured the battery voltage and it was 2.6V. This morning i left it in the mains for a good 9 hours and when i came back to check the battery voltage it is only 2.67V. I think that the battery might be a problem here but i want to get any second opinions before i buy a battery. Also is there any way of turning the phone on with the battery unplugged? When I am on a call on my phone

When I am talking with someone, the phone rings in and tells me who is calling. It has two options, put the person on hold or reject the call. Can I put the person I am speaking with on hold and take the incoming call or does it just go to voicemail?

Moto G 3rd gen. Internal memory full - but not really!

Hello everyone!

strange issue with the internal memory here. I have a nice and fast SD card installed to boost the phone's memory, which is very limited. I left on the internal memory only apps that cannot be moved, and some new apps were also installed there.
As I was running low on internal memory, I tried the function "migrate data" to move as much as possible to the SD card, 2.99 GB according to the phone. At approx 60% it stopped with an error message: "Free memory is not enough to move data." or something like that. On the SD card there are more than 20GB free.
Now, my internal memory is completely full! 4.44 GB out of 4.54! I tried clearing all caches and removing all app data, and now the content shows "Apps: 1.24GB" and "Cached data: 1.66MB". That does not add up!

Does anybody have any idea where's all my memory gone?
I cannot do anything on the phone, it is working ok but does not update apps and constantly shows the warning "Storage space running out"!

The device is a Motorola MotoG 3rd generation bought in March, running Android 6.0

Is there any way to do font resizing/text scaling in Android tablet browsers?

I just recently got a Samsung tablet (my first Android tablet). But Chrome and Samsung's stock browser won't let me do text scaling (I drag the text resizing setting in Chrome but it has no effect, and Samsung's stock browser doesn't have that option at all). By text scaling I mean automatically increasing the size of text on webpages while wrapping the text so you don't have to keep zooming and scrolling horizontally.

It's so annoying that my three year old Android phone browser is able to do this, but my tablet can't. The whole reason I bought a tablet was to make reading easier on my eyes, but it turns out I can read larger font on Web pages on my 5" phone screen than my 8" tablet. Am I missing something?? Is there a way to do text scaling on Android tablet browsers?

How do I remove ads off my home screen and trends from my text boxes?

As of this week my phone has gotten some strange new "features". The first thing I noticed was that whenever I started typing in a text box (i.e. text messaging app or Facebook messenger), a little bar with "trends" would appear under it (2nd picture). I don't know where it came from, and I looked through my settings to see if I could disable it, but to no avail. The second thing I noticed was today when I went to unlock my phone, my lock screen would be completely different, and it featured an ad (1st picture). My lock screen is suppose to be just my background photo, the time, and a pattern to unlock it. Again, I looked through my settings to disable this but nothing seemed to do anything. I'm assuming my phone has some kind of virus or some rogue app is doing this, but I don't know which one because I haven't downloaded any new apps and I'm pretty sure I haven't clicked on any fishy links. Does anyone know what I can do about this?

Why isn't my my phone/tablet recognizing my OTG hub?

I recently bought an Inateck OTG hub 7-port for my Motorola moto g (2013).
When i plug it in nothing happens, the power light comes on on the OTG hub but the phone doesn't recognize it. I also tried it in my Tesco Hudl 2 and that doesn't work either. In the storage settings they both say that they can connect to an OTG hub.
I also downloaded a File Manager from google play and that doesn't recognize it either.
I'm not sure whether i need to root the devices (and if i do could you tell me how) or whether I've just bought the wrong hub. But i hope it isn't the hub because i spent £15 on it. If you could help with this problem that would be great. Thank you.

Can a single contact name, be erased for no reason?

My step son thinks he is the most knowledgable kid in the world in every category! He claims he stores his moms name & phone # under his contacts, & saves it. Then for no apparent reason, it constantly erases her name & #, as if he never stored it all. He claims this keeps happening! I need someone with knowledge in this area, so i can confront him about why HE purposly keeps deleting her name?

"Your Message has been erased/deleted. If you ..." What causes this?

I I have a Droid Turbo and approx. 6 minutes of saved voicemails at all times. Every once in a while when a friend calls, they get interrupted when leaving a voicemail with: "Your message has been erased/deleted. If you would like to leave another message, wait for the beep." What might be causing this? They're calling from an AT&T iPhone but I don't believe that should matter. Thanks.

Hide Reminders in Calendar but receive notifications

I'd like to be able to add numerous daily notifications, but not have it fill up my calendar. Is there any way to do this? I tried hiding the notifications calendar, but then I don't get a popup. I see the Google Now card, but that doesn't help unless I'm looking at it.

From phone camera, some photos cannot be shared when I am accessing my Facebook Upload Photos.

How to restore stock ROM on Coolpad Arise ( 5560S ) without PC?

So I'm new to the tweaking world and even more so to Android all over. I started messing around with things in an attempt to modify apps. I have Lucky Patcher and was tweaking things with that but ran out of storage space because of .odex files. So, I used ES File Explorer and figured I should start deleting some unused system apps. Well, those that seem unimportant. So I started with Browser.apk and after that, problems. Android.(Something).Acore kept crashing. Then I realized that my default SMS Messaging app wouldn't work. Every time I boot up, the first thing that happens is a notification saying the Messaging app has stopped working. Well, that was that. I tried to fix it by clearing data and cache on Messaging, Contacts, and Contacts Storage. With no help I tried to Factory Reset. To my surprise, nothing was fixed and in fact many apps disappeared ( System Apps like Music and Downloads ). I read on Google for many solutions and ultimately decided that I'll go with Stock ROM restore. I have no idea where to begin because what I'm seeing is that I need to use a PC. I don't have a PC so I can't use that. I need a way that doesn't require a PC. I don't have any back ups of anything so that's out of the question. If anyone can help at all with this it would be much appreciated. Keep in mind that I'm a noob in this field so please make what you say as simple as possible but with enough detail to guide me on what I need to do. Reply ASAP. Thanks in advance!

How to establish auto-connection to wifi???

Please help me.. I just bought a new Samsung Galaxy Note 5. The problem is that, when we connect to wifi, put the passwords (if it has) or just directly connect if it has none. The problem is, even in my home wifi, I already established the connection with my phone. The problem here is that everytime I restart my my phone or turn it off and on again, my phone DOES NOT connect automatically in the wifi. This issue does not exist in my galaxy note 4 that even if I turn my note 4 off for a very long time and turn it on again, it will connect automatically to my home wifi as soon as I turn on the wifi on my phone. Please help me fix this issue if someone has the same issue as mine and solved it already. Thank you very much.

Note 5 and Gear S2 number sync, caller id not working

does anyone know what would cause for the caller id to no longer work? AT&T can't resolve this issue....I call people and no one knows it's me calling, display shows either "unknown", "+1", or "SMART"....please help! I've completely disconnected the watch from my phone and still no change.
