I can never see text messages from my sisters phone.

She has an LG phone from Verizon. I have a Samsung from Consumer Cellular. I always get a message box with the file size, Date and time of expiration and a download button. I've tried downloading but it always fails. I've tried with both mobile data and Wi-fi. no luck.Suggestions?
