can i lock my note 8 so employee's can't change anything?

is there a way to prevent employee's from changing stuff on the phone? So i just had an employee quit and he factory reset his phone before turning in back in. I want to setup the phone specifically so they cant change nay settings. im thinking of having sms autobackup along with pics so if they decide to flatten the phone i can just restore it when i get it back
