My phone tethering to Smart TV suddenly weakened

I've been using my Samsung S5 Duos phone tethering for my Smart TV. For months, it's been quite working well as I can watch Youtube and Netflix uninterrupted. All of a sudden, I can no longer open the Netflix and is so difficult to play Youtube anymore. I tried moving the Smart TV closer to my phone but the result is the same - Youtube opens very slowly and when it does, it hangs. Will someone help me diagnose this issue? Thanks
