sd card video storage

I have just got my second new Samsung galaxy a3, after returning the first one because the video files wouldn't play, and now this one is doing the same thing! I had a brand new, 128gb, sd card, which i used in both handsets, so I am presuming this is the problem. Does anyone know what is likely to be wrong with it?! The video records but then is saved as a grey square with a ! In the gallery...
