how to get back news feed articles when i open google search?

I would always receive news stories just below my three most recent searches whenever i open google on my home screen. Suddenly that has stopped, and a long list of my searches is now being shown. How can i get it back to showing only the three most recent searches with the news stories below that. Any help would be greatly appreciated. i am using galaxy s8
