Why does my group chat not work with Iphones?

All- I mean all - of my friends have an iphone, and they tried to create a group chat with 6 people, 5 iphones, and 1 samsung (me). The group chat didnt work on my screen - it worked on theirs. Basically, I was getting all of their messages originaly sent to the group chat personalysent to me, and it happened with all of them. It didn't happen on their side, though. What is the problem? I have an SM-J327U samsung galaxy.
