Why is my tablet or phone asking for a password.

When I have connected my tablet or phone to my tv( miracast ) it's asking me for a password I have put my wifi password in but no luck, I have put my tablet password in but no luck and I have put my phone password in but it keeps saying wrong password what password do I need to put in .
