My S5 has a boot loop

My Samsung S5 has a new battery, is 61% charged up, yet will not stay on unless it's plugged in. Unplug it and it keeps cycling thru the boot up sequence...Time for a new phone?

How do I recover my phone after a factory data reset (LG G3)?

I let my friend borrow my phone and by the time I got it back, it had gone through a factory data reset. He said that he pulled out the phone and it was going through a firmware update. The next time he pulled it out, it was fully reset. I think what happened was that he accidentally missed the password 10 times either in his pocket or while trying to unlock it, and it reset.

The phone was an encrypted LG G3 (LG VS985) and I have kept it off/put it through minimal use since it happened to make sure the data doesn't get overwritten. Is there any way of recovering this lost data? Mainly just want my pictures and messages back if possible. Thanks for the help!

Nexus 6P screen not auto-rotating

The display on my Nexus 6P is not auto-rotating. Is anyone else experiencing a similar problem? It has been as issue for a week or so.

I've tried several fixes. Firstly, I simply powered off and an restarted, to no avail. The option is obviously set to auto-rotate in the settings drop-down, but I also toggled that on and off to be sure.

Further to this, I have restarted in safe mode to disable third-party apps; I have installed GPS Track and Status, which suggested no problem with the hardware; and I have installed a specific screen rotation app - none of these have got the screen moving as it should.

I am now at the point where a factory reset is the only other option I can think of, which I would rather avoid if possible. Any suggestions or information about common experiences much appreciated.

Whatsapp notifications are not coming through on Samsung galaxy s8 unless I go into the app

It seems to be happening more and more, however whatsapp messages are delayed and not coming through as soon as I get them. I only get them when I either unlock the phone, or more common is I have to actually go into the app.

I've tried checking to see if its a power saving setting, or if there is something blocking whatsapp, however can't seem to find anything.

Anyone else getting this? Any ideas on how to fix?

Going to uninstall and re install whatsapp to see if that's the issue.

does gamepads/game controllers need root?

I wanna buy a gamepad/controller for my j5 prime.. but one of my friends told me that i need root in order to make the gamepad work. But the website says it's a Bluetooth controller. I'm confused. Please clarify me
