Time and weather "banner" at the top of my Moto G6 disappeared.

The time/weather "banner" at the top of the home screen after unlocked was there when the phone was set up initially. All of a sudden it's gone. All of the widgets are too large and take up too much space. How can I restore it without a hard reset.
