Galaxy Note 9 Clearview case vs AOD display

I have a clearview standup case for my note 9 and I would like to use the face widgets. However, when i close the case the clearview clock (which allows me to view face widgets) for about 5 seconds and then it changes to the default AOD clock. Does anyone know how or if I can change this?
