how to put music files on a formatted SD card

i just recently got a blu energy x plus 2 and it runs android 6.0 and when i put an SD card in it asked to format it as internal storage, so i did that but now i'm not able to connect to my pc to add music on the SD card is there anyway to add music to it or can it only be used for aps now that its formatted?
