Is there anyway to secure the phone in case it gets lost?

Is there any way to secure the phone in case it gets lost, so that the person who finds that phone cannot use it anyway and it becomes useless ( for android). My phone moto g4 plus is lost and it's also encrypted.If the phone is locked by android device manager can it be unlocked by factory reset?
