I have a Nexus 5 with 6.0.1. After I search for something from the home screen, I cannot long press any of the search results. I want to do this as I want to open them in a new tab in chrome (or any other web browser). By default if I click on the search result, it opens in the chrome tab and switches to that result. I want to be able to first open all relevant search results in new tabs and then go over the tabs.
This does not happen if I search directly from the chrome app as long pressing the search result gives me the option to open in a new tab (and then continue to stay on the current page). However as the google search bar is on the home screen, it is very convenient to use that as compared to opening chrome and then searching.
Any help would be appreciated!
