phone not receiving data signal when theres full bars

my phone recently stopped connecting to the data dont know if this is a sim or device problem but if anyone knows please let me know

*wifi, calls etc works perfectly

another note happened the other day but after some hours went back to normal. would the data receiver be broken from a drop?
