2015 Honda Civic text messaging

I have a 2015 honda Civic LX. When my phone is connected to bluetooth it reads text messages i receive when I'm driving. That is, it reads messages except texts from my wife. i have no idea why this is. My phone is an LG K20, my wite's phone is a Samsung S6. Her previous phone was an LG. It has never read any of her messages from either of her phones. I am wondering if it might have something to do with both our phones being on the same ATT account?
Any suggestions out there?
