Why won't my keyboard on the unlock screen show up? (Samsung galaxy j7)

My phone is pretty new, a Samsung Galaxy j7, I tried to swipe it earlier and the keyboard to type my password won't show up. I held power button and turned off, and turned back on but it still didn't work. Then I tried restarting, and that didn't work. I took the battery and that STILL didn't work. What should I do?
