Nissan Bluetooth won't connect after Marshmallow upgrade

Running a Samsung Galaxy Note 4. Marshmallow created several problems there were mostly solved with two factory resets and a lot of time on the phone with Verizon tech coach, but still can't connect the phone to my 2011 Nissan Leaf. Verizon is pointing the finger at Nissan. Any ideas?
